| Message | ![]() This highly interdisciplinary program combining faculty from the departments of English, Sociology, and Community Service-Learning is designed to provide you with a holistic engagement with the Caribbean region. Coursework on social history, literature, and cultural theory offers a critical lens to learn from excursions to historically important sites, but also enriches daily interaction with the people we live with during our stay and informs our community service outreach in the local area. From finding out what it means to "small up" or "grab a fresh" to savoring live roots reggae, this is a rare opportunity to learn through experience. ENGL 364/SOC 424: Afro-Caribbean Literature and The Black Atlantic (both courses fulfill "D" and "W" requirements) Program Details
