ES Seniors Win Oratory Contest at National Indian Education Association Conference

Message

On Oct. 9, 2010, Ethnic Studies seniors Roberta Garcia and Wynona Peters won first and second place in the college division of the Oratory Contest at the National Indian Education Association conference, placing first and second, respectively. Garcia gave a speech about overcoming obstacles to succeed in higher education. Peters spoke about her research project on Native health and substance abuse. Congratulations to both students.
