Message	The department of Ethnic Studies presents the second Brown Bag Seminar Series: "The Racial Significance of Obama’s Victory” by Roy Brooks, Warren Distinguished Professor of Law Roy Brooks is a professor in the School of Law at the University of San Diego and a leading scholar of civil rights and critical theory. He served as the senior editor of the Yale Law Journal, clerked for the Honorable Clifford Scott Green of the U. S. District Court in Philadelphia and practiced corporate law with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City. Professor Brooks has authored several books, articles, book chapters, and supplements, including Rethinking the American Race Problem (University of California Press), Integration or Separation? A Strategy for Racial Equality (Harvard University Press), and most recently, Atonement and Forgiveness: A New Model for Black Reparations (University of California Press, Berkeley).
