Support Ethnic Studies in Arizona During Ethnic Studies Week

Event Start DateFriday, October 1, 2010 – Thursday, October 7, 2010

Ethnic Studies Week is a nationally coordinated week of local actions. Participants will engage in ethnic studies activities organized in schools, community centers, places of worship, bookstores, theaters, and elsewhere.

On May 13, 2010, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed Arizona Bill 2281, banning the teaching of ethnic studies in Arizona public schools effective December 31, 2010. Come join in solidarity for Ethnic Studies Week as we support ethnic studies teachers and students in Tucson and everywhere.
