The department of English hosts novelist and short-story writer John J. Clayton. Clayton will read a short story, "Adult Fiction," from his Wrestling with Angels: New and Collected Stories (2007).

Clayton is a well-known and prize-winning fiction writer. His latest novel, Kuperman's Fire, was also published in 2007.
