Gayle Luque, MA currently teaches literature at USD. A former manger in both the financial and publishing industries, she has also taught ESL, developmental writing and literature at various community college campuses in San Diego. A published visual artist, she utilizes visual materials and collaborative objectives that enhance critical thinking skills. Her Literature 121 class examines works by Clairce Lispector, Yukio Mishima, Philip K. Dick, Leslie Marmon Silko and Marguerite Duras. Her current research includes post war Japanese cinema and the films of Rainer Werner Fassbinder. When not at USD, Gayle can be found exploring the dream space of the natural world.
