Judith Simmer-Brown (Naropa University) and Fran Grace (University of Redlands) recently published Meditation and the Classroom (State University of New York Press, 2011), to which Louis Komjathy contributed a chapter titled "Field Notes from a Daoist Professor."

Louis Komjathy attended the annual meeting of the American Academy of Religion (San Francisco; November 19-21) as the Co-chair of the Contemplative Studies Group. The latter program unit held two very successful panels: "Shaping the Field of Contemplative Studies" and "Contemplative Studies from a Participatory Perspective."

Louis Komjathy will attend the International Symposia for Contemplative Studies (Denver; April 26-29), for which he organized a panel titled "The New Humanities: Contemplative Studies and the Liberal Arts."
