Esteban del Río, Ph.D., Communication Studies, will lead a community bicycle ride from the Student Life Pavillion to the Ocean Beach Farmers Market.  On the ride he will discuss globalization, localism, the farm-to-table model, the commodification of "sustainability," and cycling as a solution to climate change. 

Students should bring a lock, front and rear lights, and a basket or bag for shopping.  A group will return to campus at 7:15 p.m.
