Classical Studies

The classical world was the crucible in which Christianity and the western artistic, literary, philosophical, and political traditions were formed.  The Classical Studies minor is an interdisciplinary academic program designed to provide students in all majors with an opportunity to enrich their understanding both of the western tradition and of themselves by studying the history, cultures, religions, and languages of the Greco-Roman world.

Professor Conant is on leave from USD until September 1, 2010. For the 2009-2010 academic year, professor Florence Gillman (THRS) will be advising the Classical Studies Minor
