Harry B. Gray, Ph.D., Arnold O. Beckman Professor of Chemistry and founding director of the Beckman Institute at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) discusses one of the outstanding issues of science in the 21st century - the efficient, and ultimately economical, storage of solar energy in the form of chemical bonds.

The seminar is geared for the general audience.

Professor Gray is a world-renown chemist who has received numerous awards including the National Medal of Science and the Wolf Prize. He is currently one of the principal investigators for the National Science Foundation Chemical Bonding Center, that brings together scientists from Caltech and MIT to tackle the problem of how best to harness solar energy.
