| Message | San Diego Union Tribune -- Lauren Benz, a University of San Diego chemistry professor, has received a prestigious Cottrell College Science Award. The awards are given to early-career scientists at liberal arts colleges that primarily serve undergraduates. They are conferred by the 99-year-old Research Corporation for Science Advancement, the second-oldest foundation in the United States after the Carnegie Corporation and the oldest foundation for science advancement.
