Malachowski Named Principal Investigator on National Science Foundation Award

Message

Mitch Malachowski, Ph.D., has been named the principal investigator on the recent award of $1 million by National Scienc Foundation, with $152,000 awarded directly to USD. The overarching goal of this NSF CCLI Phase 3 project is to disseminate successful models of collaborative faculty-student undergraduate research and to help institutions generate aspirations and goals for institutionalizing their undergraduate research activities.

 To meet this goal, we will offer a series of workshops that will provide faculty and administrators with best practices and models of undergraduate research.  An important component of the workshops is a structured program of follow-up activities, including development of an interactive website designed to share outcomes from the participating institutions, as well as broadly disseminate best practices and models to the wider community.
