| Message | ![]() Professor Martin Chalfie earned his PhD in Physiology from Harvard University in 1977. As a postdoctoral fellow, he conducted research with Sydney Brenner at Cambridge University where he began work with the nematode worm C. elegans that would eventually lead him to use Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) as a marker for gene function.
