Shawna Fehrman graduated from USD in 2009. Following graduation, she joined the Peace Corps and served in Thailand. She manages the daily operations of the Biology department, and performs detailed administrative work for the chair and faculty of her department. Shawna trains and supervises student workers, TA's and tutors. She acts as facilitator and resource person for all new and returning part-time faculty, students, parents, other departments and the general community.

Don Gennero is the Biology Department's Lab Supervisor.  He has been with the University of San Diego since 1985.  Don is responsible for the overall operation and management of the Biology labs.  He supervises the Biology Lab Technician and the lab work study students.  He purchases supplies and equipment, oversees safety and ensures that the Biology labs and equipment are properly maintained and repaired.

Keith Macdonald is the Biology Department's Laboratory Technician.  He has been with the university since 1999.  Keith works with the faculty to set up and run teaching laboratory exercises, especially at the introductory level.  He functions as a Scientific Collector for the university, obtaining live plant and animal specimens for the faculty's needs.  He also works with vendors to obtain other items for department use and works to maintain and repair department equipment.  Additionally, Keith is the advisor to the University's Scuba Diving Club.
