Eva Friedberg’s essay, “Collective Movement: Anna and Lawrence Halprin’s Joint Workshops” is forthcoming in the new volume by University of Minnesota Press, West of Center: Art and the Countercultural Experiment in American Art, 1965-1977, edited by Elissa Auther and Adam Lerner, November 2011. The essay was developed out of a chapter from her doctoral dissertation on the landscape architect Lawrence Halprin.
