Oxford University Press announces the 2010 publication of Antiquity on Display: Techniques of the Authentic in Berlin’s Pergamon Museum by Can Bilsel, Ph.D., chair, Department  of Art. Bilsel's work seeks to contribute to historiography by interrogating the German reconstructions of Middle Eastern antiquities. By organizing his discussion of archaeological reconstructions around the theme of authenticity he intends to contribute to opening a public debate concerning the preservation of historic heritage.
