Valerie A. Attisha
Valerie Attisha is the director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences. In this role, she works with faculty and the dean to secure funding from alumni, parents, and friends for the more than thirty diverse departments, programs, institutes, and centers that comprise the college. In addition, she oversees the college’s marketing, communications, publications, and web design efforts. An experienced and dedicated fundraising professional, Valerie joined USD, her alma mater, in spring 2007.
Prior, she spent almost ten years at The San Diego Foundation where she served as the Director of Scholarships and San Diego Teachers’ Fund. While attending graduate school in Sacramento, Valerie worked as a graduate assistant and upon graduating, she secured a position as a legislative analyst and lobbyist. Valerie has been active with the Rotary Club and is a 2005 graduate of LEAD San Diego. In 2006, she was awarded San Diego Metropolitan Magazine’s prestigious 40 Under 40 Award.
