USD Career Services offers workshops to assist students in building resumes and preparing for interviews. These workshops provide assistance in two areas that are fundamental to any successful job search. They are held Fridays at 3:00 pm in Hughes 110, September 19 - November 21, 2008.

Resume Building Workshop

This workshop will help you prepare a resume from scratch or update your current one by focusing on:

• How to market yourself effectively
• Professional descriptions of your internships and activities
• How to tailor your resume for specific positions

Interview Preparation Workshop

This workshop will help you develop effective interviewing skills. Topics include:

• How to present yourself to the recruiter
• Appropriate responses to commonly asked questions
• How to demonstrate interest in the position and knowledge of the organization

Based on employer feedback, we strongly recommend completing this workshop if you are taking part in On-Campus Interviews.
