Adventures In Service

Career-oriented "Adventures in Service" events are held on campus each semester. These events promote interaction between students and a variety of service, non-profit and governmental organizations. Students interested in internships and long-term volunteer opportunities are invited to attend and speak with individual representatives from each organization.

The annual fall semester Adventures in Service will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. in the UC Forum A. Every year, this program spotlights non-profit and government organizations offering regional and long-term internship and service opportunities. Organizations participating in the Fall 2009 event are listed below.

The annual spring semester Adventures in Service: Careers with a Conscience program will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 12:15 to 1:15 pm. This program features a panel of USD faculty, staff and alumni sharing personal stories of their long-term volunteer experiences. Speakers include those who have participated in Casa del Migrante, Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Peace Corps, and Teach for America.
