RECREATION FACILITIES OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
The Recreation Facilities operations assistant supports the Campus Recreation Programs manager with supervision of the Sports Center facilities and operations during weekend as well as weekday-evening hours. Facility operations responsibilities include: staff supervision, facility safety and security, facility cleanliness and neatness, snack bar operations, equipment room operations and facility opening/closing. Additionally the Operations Assistant may opt to assume the Summer Facilities Operations Assistant position during the summer months.
Qualifications: B.S required (M.S preferred), knowledge in various recreation activities, facility supervision, working with a student staff, CPR/First Aid certified, excellent verbal and written communication skills, Microsoft capable.
Position dates: September 1st, 2008 - May 30th, 2009
Hours: Primary weekly hours during fall and spring semesters:
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Saturdays
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Sundays
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thursdays
Willing to work flexible hours during non-semester dates. This is a seventeen-hour per week, sixteen weeks per semester position.

RECREATION CLASS INSTRUCTORS
Instruct in the Campus Recreation department. Develop class syllabus and lesson plans. Record and submit student attendance, mid-term and final grades. Maintain a safe and healthy instructional environment. Ability to effectively communicate, demonstrate and instruct the skills required of the listed course. Past teaching experience, fitness instruction certification, and a personal fitness level necessary for teaching the assigned course.
Fall 2008 instructors needed:
Tennis Tue/Thurs11am-1pm (beginers and intermed.)
*Pay for all instructors starts at $20/hour
Qualifications: Must be able to effectively communicate physical fitness issues and examples to diverse students, CPR/First Aid certified, computer proficient
*Proof of certification is required and must be presented before employment begins

INTRAMURAL SPORTS OFFICIALS
USD IM Sports is hiring sports officials for the Fall 2008 Intramural season. We have openings in football, soccer, volleyball, softball, and basketball.
