Participants Code of Behavior
All club members must adhere to the University Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities when representing the University as a Sports Club member.
Good Behavior and Sportsmanship are expected of all sports club participants. Inappropriate actions may result in suspension or dismissal from the sports club program. Please remember you are viewed as a USD representative not only by the university, but by others who observe your actions.
1. Sportsmanship is of prime importance and all clubs and club members must handle themselves in an appropriate manner both on and off the field.
The Use of Alcohol or Controlled Substances by sports club participants while representing the University of San Diego during team travel, at home contests, or at practices is not permitted. Any involvement in such conduct will result in suspension or dismissal from the sports club program. In addition alcohol is not permitted at any of the Universities athletic venues. It becomes the sports club responsibility to police its spectators at home contests. In addition club representatives should consult the Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities as they pertain to the University of San Diego Alcohol policies.
1. Sports clubs may not sponsor parties where alcohol is served.
Hazing at the University of San Diego is not permitted. Clubs and their members are required to adhere to this policy.
Off Campus Contractual Agreements using the University of San Diego name in actuality or implied may not be entered into by sports club participants. All sports club contractual agreements must have signed approval of the Campus Recreation Director.
As a participant with the named Sports Club. I understand the rules and policies that pertain to Sports Club participants and agree to adhere to those policies while representing the University of San Diego as a Sports Club participant.
