FREE FINALS WEEK FITNESS CLASS SCHEDULE

Stressed out about finals or the end of the semester??? Revitalize through exercise! Enjoy free fit & Active classes from 12/15-09 through 12/19/09. Classes include yoga, kick boxing, boot camp, pilates, stretching, can so much more! We are also featuring two special expansive yoga classes in MH Solomon Hall!

And the best part? It is all free and taught by certified wellness instructors right here on campus. Most classes are 55 minutes and located in Missions Fitness Center's Exercise Room (Level 1 by Cafe) unless otherwise specified on the schedule.

Just go to class, sign the liability waiver, and de-stress!

FREE Finals Week Fitness Schedule

FIT & ACTIVE PROGRAM

Fit & Active was designed to meet the fitness needs of those with a hectic schedule, or those who just want to have fun and to stay fit. For a fee of $80 per semester, you have the option to participate in nearly 30 fitness classes per week such as Yoga, Pilates, cardio specific, Kickboxing, Spin, Hip Hop, Zumba, Boot Camp, and much more!

Classes are offered at convenient times and are in the heart of campus at the Missions Café and Fitness Center. *Spin and the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Fitness Class are offered at the Sports Center. Because you do not get a grade or credit for the class, you can go to any class as often or as little as you wish. You design your own program to best suit your needs and schedule. THIS PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS, STAFF, AND ALUMNI.

*Membership ID cards are REQUIRED for class admittance!

FIT INTO FALL (EMPLOYEES ONLY)

This pilot program is tailored to the needs of our USD employees with hectic work schedules.  While employees still have the option to register for the full "Fit & Active" program to enjoy any of the classes, this discounted program targets the class times that work best for our employees workday.  Registrants are eligbile for pre-selected class times (7am, 8am, 12pm, 1pm, and 6pm) to fit in fitness into their busy work week, budget, and life.  Employees will be taking the listed classes with "Fit & Active" members. 

$60 per semester - Only USD employees are eligible.

R.A.C.

R.A.C. (Recreation Activities Club) is a promotional club designed for those who love staying active on campus! With your membership fee ($150), you receive:

  • Two half-hour massages
  • One entry to a semester long fitness class (non-credit/on-campus only, $50 maximum value)
  • Recreation e-news letter
  • A Sports Center semester-use locker and towel service
  • Unlimited intramural league participation(registration fee waived)
  • Invitations to any wellness workshop offered on-campus
  • Invitations to the injury prevention workshops offered on-campus

This is an exclusive membership club for those who want to be part of the USD FIT team and live an active lifestyle on campus!

Fee: $150 per semester

W.A.C.

W.A.C. (Wellness Activities Club) is a great way for members to stay fit all semester long and focus on their overall holistic development! With your membership fee ($150), you receive:

  • Three half-hour massages
  • Fit & Active group fitness membership
  • Recreation e-news letter
  • One intro session of personal training
  • Invitations to any wellness workshop offered on-campus
  • Invitations to the injury prevention workshops offered on-campus

This is an exclusive membership club for those who want to be part of the USD FIT team and live an active lifestyle on campus!

Fee: $150 per semester

MASSAGE: Stress Reduction & Muscle Relaxation

The values of massage include; muscle relaxation, stress reduction, injury rehabilitation, improved sports performance, and muscle recovery. Reduce your tension or stress through massage! We specialize in everything including Swedish, deep tissue, Esalen, Thai, Shiatsu and Sports massages.

Massages are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12pm-4pm.

You can save $30 by purchasing the massage booklet and receive five 25-minute massages for only $95!

Fees:

  • 25-minute massage: $25
  • 55-minute massage: $50
  • Massage Booklet: $95

ATHLETIC TRAINING: Injury Rehab & Prevention

Our on-campus athletic trainer can help you with any sport injury in addition to injury prevention. We do not accept insurance of any kind to process payments.

Our therapist can assist with most injuries and rehab plans.

Process and fees:

Step 1: Register online for the "initial consultation" for only $15

             - After you register, the thearpist will contact you to set up the appointment

Step 2: The thearpist will then recommend to you a rehab plan which you then need to register and pay for before you go to rehab again:

  • 7 pack (short term): $70
  • 14 pack (once a week for the semester): $130
  • 28 pack (twice a week for the semester): $250
  • 42 pack (three times a week for the semester): $400

While the therapist will recommend session packages to you based off of the extent of your injury, it is your responsibility to register for the appropriate package. Payments must be received prior top first visit.

Register for Injury Rehab & Prevention

USD FIT (Fitness Initiative Team )

The USD Fitness Initiative Team is a campus-wide effort to develop our university community in mind, body & spirit.  For one week each month during the semester, we invite you to enjoy  a featured FREE  Fit & Active class and experience how these activities strengthen each wellness aspect. Relieve stress, have fun, and get FIT without leaving campus! No registration is necessary.  Just show up to the featured class and sign the liability waiver to participate.  If you like the class, you may register for our semester long Fit & Active program for a small fee.

USD FIT FREE Schedule
