In the fall, clubs recruit new players during the Alcala Bazaar and Sports Club recruiting week. Once a club and its membership have registered, it may begin practices. During the fall clubs are required to turn in competition schedules and requests for practice times. All clubs must go through the sports club coordinator to purchase equipment, have coaches approved, and have any contract agreements approved.
Clubs are required to have new leadership in place by the conclusion of the spring semester, at which time each club’s old and new leadership must meet with the Sports Club supervisor. At this transitional meeting the club's performance is evaluated, a preliminary operating budget for the upcoming year is prepared, and a revenue plan is presented by the new leadership.
