Enjoy the End-of-Semester USD Music Department Concert Series

A traditional time of the year is upon us all when the academic semester is quickly coming to a close at the University of San Diego. It is also a wonderful time to discover and take in a variety of music performances by our talented USD students, faculty and staff.

Today, Monday, May 7, and continuing through May 14, the USD Music Department will showcase an array of student performances. The series kicked off May 3 with the Chamber Music and USD Strings show. All performances take place on the USD campus.

The schedule is as follows:

May 7: Gamelan and Mariachi Ensembles, 7:30 p.m., Shiley Theatre.

This concert features the Gamelan Ensemble, which will perform the music of Bali, Indonesia, as well as the Mariachi Ensemble. David Harnish directs the Gameland Ensemble and Serafin Paredes leads the Mariachi Ensemble. It's likely that both performances will include dance. Tickets: $10 general admission, $8 seniors, USD faculty, staff and alumni, $5 for students with a valid ID card.
