Living Off-Campus

The University of San Diego has a two-year residency requirement. Please visit the Transfer Student Housing and Second Year Housing webpages for more information.

To aide you in finding potential roommates, USD has created a Roommate Finder Form for you to fill out. Within 2-3 business days of submitting the form, you will be given access to the response that other students have submitted to the form. Please note that it is your responsibility to read these responses and contact other students. USD facilitates the information gathering process, but does not facilitate the actual matching and contacting processes.

Please note that the housing information on this webpage is only meant to be an informational tool, as the University of San Diego does not endorse any off-campus apartments exclusively. Students must contact the manager of each apartment building directly regarding questions, current pricing, and availability. The University of San Diego provides this information regarding housing in the San Diego area for your convenience only. The University makes no representation as to the condition or suitability of any of the listed resources or establishments, nor does it assume responsibility for their condition or reliability or for any agreements you enter into with them. Please give yourself ample time—about four to six weeks—to search for off-campus housing. Browse this resource to start your search and learn about other off-campus housing information sources. Remember, persistence and patience are both key when seeking off-campus housing.
