Why attain a certificate in Business for the Arts and Nonprofit Art Organizations?

The arts are an economic engine in the USA. In addition, here in San Diego, according to the 2002 Commission for the Arts Report, 85 non-profit arts and culture organizations supported by the city, contributed an estimate of $217 million to our local economy; as a result, art professional needs to be aware of the force culture has in our local economy and continue promoting and advocating for the arts with the right skills.

How will this certificate help me in my career?

This unique opportunity offers students a professional network composed of expert instructors, active leaders in the art community, and other student peers that will contribute their own art insight and experience. This program is designed to consult and support the professional career of students who appreciate art and are about to develop their own international art gallery, museum and/or nonprofit cultural organization. Nevertheless, this program offers a unique bi-national emphasis, which makes the content of this program an extra robust learning experience.

Therefore, we have created a very flexible schedule providing the student with a two day workshop once a month. The student does not require any level of expertise in the field in order to attend this program.
