These admissions criteria apply to USD's Master of Science in Executive Leadership program.

Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. The application deadline for Fall 2017 admission is May 15, 2017. Early application is recommended as space is limited. Apply online here.

Admissions Process

You will be asked to submit the following: 

  • Application
  • Professional resume
  • Self-evaluation essay
  • Two letters of recommendation (recommended from two of the following: supervisor, colleague, or direct report)
  • $80 application fee
  • Official copies of all college transcripts. These should be mailed in sealed envelopes from the institutions to:

GMAT score from the last five years OR a Professional Product (described below)

Professional Product: As an alternative to the GMAT, you may submit a professional product that demonstrates your ability to analyze complex problems at the graduate level. The product should be one in which you were the dominant author. Content contributions from all others should be less than 20 percent of the total effort. Examples include, but are not limited to: a technical report, a strategic business plan, a financial analysis, an investment analysis or a new project or business proposal. Additional requirements for students who have attended international schools

Foreign Academic Records–Official records from foreign institutions must be sent directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions. All applicants are required to submit official records from each institution attended after secondary school. All documents must bear the seal and title of the authorizing official and must be in a sealed envelope. Transcripts issued in English by the academic institution are preferred. Otherwise, all transcripts that are not issued in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation from an approved agency. International applicants are required to have their transcripts evaluated by the International Education Research Foundation (IERF) or World Education Services (WES).
