Naval Academy Connection

From the Wardroom to the Boardroom

Bronston Carroll (USNA '04) made the most of his time in the Navy after graduation, visiting 15 foreign countries and gaining an appreciation for today's global economy. When it came time for him to make the transition from Surface Warfare Officer to civilian, he was searching for a graduate business degree that would integrate his global perspective, leadership skills, and affinity for business ethics.

The Master of Science in Global Leadership was a perfect fit for Bronston's personal and professional goals. Offered by the School of Business Administration at the University of San Diego, the MSGL program provides an alternative to the traditional MBA by focusing on ethical leadership, best business practices, and respect for cultural, political, and economic differences.

"Getting a master's in global leadership from USD was extremely attractive to me," says Carroll. "Everything is going global, and if you don't have global experience you'll be left behind."

Bronston's time at USD helped him make the transition to Area Manager for Amazon.com in Phoenix, Arizona.

Since 1999, the MS in Global Leadership program has graduated many more Naval Academy graduates like Bronston who have gone on to do great things in the corporate world. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about how the MS in Global Leadership can help you make the transition from the wardroom to the boardroom.
