The San Diego MBA delivers an MBA curriculum that is relevant to a world in need of business ethics, corporate values, and responsibility beyond the bottom line. We challenge our students to grow in interpersonal as well as technical skills, to bring value to their organizations, and to fulfill their professional dreams. Please note that our application process has changed for the fall of 2009.

Admissions Criteria

  • A four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university or equivalent. A B average or higher is preferred.
  • Two years of full-time work experience is expected for admission to the MBA programs. Additional consideration may be given to candidates with substantial business experience.
  • A Competitive Graduate Management Test (GMAT) score from a test taken within the past five years.
  • Professional recommendations.
  • English Language Proficiency for applicants not educated in English.
  • Interviews – on the request of the admissions committee.

Apply online by clicking on “Apply Now” at the top of the page or the link at the bottom of the page and submit the following documents:

  • Online application and responses to supplemental essays
  • A professional resume of employment history
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • Official GMAT scores
  • Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 92/237/580
  • Application fee of $80
  • Additional documentation for international students (see below)

Additional Documentation for International Students

  • International applicants must submit a Certification of Finances Form and official bank statements with your application. The USD School Transfer Verification Form must be submitted if you are currently studying in the United States.
  • Applicants educated outside of the US must have their transcripts evaluated by World Education Services, Inc. (WES). This evaluation may be requested within 5 days of admission to one of the MBA programs.
