The Ahlers Center for International Business invites you to attend a two-evening seminar on:

Business Innovation through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Thursday, October 28 and Wednesday, November 3

Led by:

  • Patricia Marquéz, PhD, director for the Center for Peace and Commerce at USD
  • Tara Ceranic, PhD, assisant professor of Social and Legal Research

This seminar examines the alignment of corporate social responsibility (CSR) with business strategy, emphasizing ways to effectively integrate social value creation into corporate processes. More and more leading companies increasingly pursue the explicit creation of social value in balance with economic performance. They actively innovate to develop effective responses to the social, economic, and environmental effects of doing business. Working on their own or partnering with public agencies and nonprofit organizations, a growing number of firms seek to actively contribute to the betterment of society. New business models are emerging to build future markets by providing goods and services geared to the needs of heretofore excluded populations. Directions now being shaped will have profound effects on future generations. In this seminar, participants will gain insights into powerful CSR strategies that contribute to company’s performance and reputation.

This seminar is part of the Global Business Strategy Certificate Program sponsored by the Ahlers Center for International Business.
