| Message | The Ahlers Center for International Business presents: “The Global Meltdown: How Greed and our Government Combined to Change US Capitalism...Forever?" by Matthew Paull, CFO and Senior VP McDonald’s Corporation (retired) Lunch buffet will be served Matthew Paull retired on January 1, 2008 as McDonald's CFO and senior executive vice president, a position he held for seven years after being promoted in 2001. Paull was responsible for all financial matters of the company and had direct reporting responsibilities for Accounting, Facilities and Systems, Information Services, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury and Corporate Strategy. Prior to joining McDonald's in 1993, Paull was a partner at Ernst & Young where he managed a variety of financial practices during his 18-year career. His practice included consulting with many large multinational corporations. Paull has been a Adjunct Professor at USD teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and international business, as well as serving as our commencement speaker in May 2008. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Best Buy Co., Inc., as well as the Advisory Board of Pershing Square Capital, a New York-based Hedge Fund.
