| Message | U-T San Diego -- All types of real estate, from workforce housing to shopping centers, will be in steady demand with the continued growth of emerging markets, areas where development is happening swiftly and professional opportunities for women keep improving. That was a key message from Monday's Women in Real Estate conference, put on by University of San Diego's Burnham-Moores Center. "Globalization is here to stay, and it's creating huge real estate opportunities," said Leanne Lachman, of independent real estate consulting firm Lachman Associates in New York, addressing female and male real estate professionals.
