Report: SD Economy Shows Slow Growth in June

U-T San Diego -- San Diego's economy grew slowly in June, says a report released today by the University of San Diego.

The report, called the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate's Index of Leading Economic Indicators, said San Diego's economy grew by 0.1 percent last month.

That's down from 0.7 percent in May and 0.6 percent in April. Still, the indicator says the region's economy has expanded in each of the last eight months.

Alan Gin, the economist who authored the study, said 1 percent growth would be "exceptional," and that 0.7 percent is "solid." (Full Story)
