| Message | San Diego Union Tribune--USD economist Alan Gin projects employers in the county will hire 20,000 to 25,000 new workers this year, compared with nearly 27,000 added last year. “Things expected to hold the local economy back include continued weakness in the housing market, political conflict in an election year and uncertainty in the international economy,” Gin said. The USD index rose a moderate 0.6 points in December after a much weaker 0.2 point rise in November. (Full Story) |
