USD Student Awarded $10K Scholarship

San Diego Union-Tribune -- It took some prodding to get Kelly Ness to apply, but she’s glad she did.

“I was kind of intimidated at first because it was a national scholarship for $10,000. So, I was like, ‘Yeah, right,’” Ness said. That is, until she was continually encouraged by one of her school administrators to go for it. “Lo and behold, I got the scholarship.”

The scholarship from the CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Network is awarded to 10 women from across the country who plan to pursue a career in commercial real estate. The program also provides a mentor to each recipient for one year and an internship. Ness, 21, is a senior at the University of San Diego who is majoring in real estate and marketing. (Full Story)
