| Title | ECONOMY: Leading Indicators Predict Little Change for Local Economy |

| Message | North County Times -- San Diego County's economy will be in a holding pattern in coming months, according to an index of Leading Economic Indicators from the University of San Diego. The index combines six metrics that may predict hiring in the next three to five months, including national data, local stock prices, and building permits. September's index rose 0.1 percent, considered "uneventful" by index creator and economist Alan Gin. San Diego Consumer Confidence grew 0.65 percent, the largest increase, building permits dipped 0.62 percent, the greatest decline. (Full Story) |
