Commercial Real Estate -- Not Residential -- Leading Economy out of Recession

San Diego-Union Tribune -- Commercial real estate, not housing, is helping lead the economy out of recession, according to Norm Miller, head of analytics at the CoStar Group real estate firm.

Speaking to the University of San Diego’s annual real estate conference Thursday, Miller, also a USD research professor, said housing is slow to recover because of the continued distress left over from the bust that began in 2007 and housing will not serve its historic role in leading the economy to good times.
