USD Economist Discusses Impact of Financial Crisis on San Diego on KPBS Radio

Alan Gin, professor of economics at the University of San Diego. Gin is the publisher of USD's Index of Leading Economic Indicators.

Americans, and the rest of the economic world, have been riding a financial rollercoaster. Yesterday, our coaster cars hit the bottom curve and sent us upward nearly 1,000 points, according to the Dow Jones Industrials. So far today, trading has been mixed, following announcements that the U.S. Government will buy stock in private banks. None of this makes up for the enormous percentage loss the American markets have seen over the past year, or over the past week.
