International MBA - 11 Month Program

The world is your business.

The International MBA (IMBA) is designed for professionals interested in strengthening their business skills and propelling their careers forward. The eleven-month program kicks off at the University of San Diego’s Madrid Center, located just steps from Retiro Park and the world famous Prado Museum. As an economic, cultural and political hub of Europe, Madrid is the perfect place to begin your journey in international business education.

Focusing on current business issues in Europe,  you will begin your in-depth learning of global business best practices and the skills required to lead multicultural teams and organizations. Site visits to companies in Madrid allow you to see the successes and challenges experienced by global business first hand, and faculty from USD and Spain provide diverse perspectives on international business.

After a summer in Madrid, you’ll continue your IMBA program in San Diego, where you will join classes with the Full-Time and Professional MBA students and build upon the knowledge you gained and the network you developed in Europe. The curriculum covers a broad scope of professional possibilities, from entrepreneurship to consulting. You’ll learn straight from business leaders visiting your classes as guest lecturers and by company site-visits in San Diego and the nearby Baja region of Mexico. Through an international consulting project in Asia, Europe or Latin America you’ll apply your learning to a “real-world” company and further develop the skills that employers look for in their MBA hires.
