International MBA - 11 Month Program

Business that shapes the world.

The International MBA (IMBA) is designed for professionals interested in strengthening their business skills and propelling their careers forward. The eleven-month program starts at the University of San Diego’s Madrid Center, located a few blocks away from Retiro Park and the world famous Prado Museum. As an economic, cultural and political hub of Europe, Madrid is the perfect place to begin your journey in international business education.

Focusing on current business issues in Europe, you will learn about global business best practices and the skills required to lead multicultural teams and organizations. Site visits to companies in Madrid allow you to see the successes and challenges experienced by global business first hand, and faculty from USD and Spain provide diverse perspectives on international business.

After a summer in Madrid, you’ll continue your IMBA program in San Diego, where you will join classes with the other MBA students. The curriculum covers a broad scope of professional possibilities, from entrepreneurship to consulting. You’ll learn directly from business leaders visiting your classes and by company site-visits in San Diego and the nearby Baja region of Mexico. An international consulting project in Asia, Europe or Latin America will further strengthen your global business skills.
