Scott Kunkel, prior to his teaching career, worked in banking up through executive vice president of a Federal Savings Bank. He also owned and operated three small businesses. Before joining USD in fall 1992, Kunkel taught for six years at Brenau University in Gainsville, GA, and four years at the University of Nevada in Reno, NV. Kunkel is past president of the U.S. Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He teaches and has published several award winning papers in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Small Business and Family Business.
