Dr. Jaime Alonso Gómez has worked for a wide variety of organizations, across five continents, as a consultant, researcher and executive education facilitator in the areas of strategy, leadership, family business, and executive talent development.

As an international educator, Dr. Gómez has taught executives from all the Americas, Europe, Africa, Far and Middle East and is a frequent guest speaker around the world. Jaime Alonso has worked for major multinational enterprises as well as for mid-size public and family-owned companies. His areas of interest are: Global Leadership, Strategic Management, Organizational Design/Development, Family Business, and Executive Coaching/Mentoring. 

Professor Gómez serves (and/or has served) as Chairman of the Board, board member, President of editorial boards and co-editor of multiple journals, academic and business organizations. Dr. Gómez received the "Dean of the Year" Global Award from the prestigious Academy of International Business (AIB). He is the first and only Dean from Spain and Latin America in being recognized with this award. In 2012, Jaime Alonso Gómez was nominated as one of the best business professors of the year by the UK magazine “The Economist”. Jaime Alonso was ranked #14 in the world.

Prior to joining the University of San Diego, Dr. Gómez was founding Dean of EGADE Business School in Monterrey Mexico and National Dean of the Graduate Business Schools of the ITESM University system. 

Dr. Gómez is Dean of the University of San Diego School of Business and Professor of Management.
