Dr. Jaime Alonso Gómez has worked for a wide variety of organizations, across five continents, as a scholar, consultant, and executive coach in the areas of strategy, leadership, family business, and executive talent development. Dr. Gómez education includes university degrees from Mexico, Canada, Japan and the U.S.. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Managerial Science at The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

As an international educator, Dr. Gómez has taught executives from all the Americas, Europe, Africa, Far and Middle East and is a frequent guest speaker around the world. Jaime Alonso has worked for major multinational enterprises as well as for mid-size public and family-owned companies. His areas of interest are: Global Leadership, Strategic Management, Organizational Design/Development, Family Business, and Executive Coaching/Mentoring.

Professor Gómez serves (and/or has served) as National Director of the Top Management Center for International Executive Education at Monterrey Institute of Technology, member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Diversity and Cross-Cultural Management at The University of Houston, co-editor of the Latin American Business Review, Member of the Editorial Review Board of the Thunderbird International Business Review, Member of the Advisory Council of the Instituto de Negocios Internacionales of ESAN, Lima, Perú, Member of the editorial Board of Expansion, Member of the Editorial Board of The Cabanillas Foundation in Alicante, Spain, Member of the Board at the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management, Member of the International Advisory Board of the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago USA, Member of the Board of Directors of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business(USA), Member of the EQUIS Accreditation Board (EU), and member of the board of advisors of EGMD GN Americas (Europe).

His publications in English and Spanish include books, chapters in books and articles in the areas of Strategy, Family Business, Entrepreneurship, Leadership and International Business. In 2005, Dr. Gomez received the “Dean of the Year” global award from the the prestigious Academy of International Business. In 2012, Jaime Alonso was nominated as one of the best professors of the year by the UK magazine “The Economist”. Dr. Gomez was ranked #14 in the world.
