Brett BeyersLearning Tech Manager
Brett Beyers received his MSEd in learning design and technology from Purdue University in May 2013. Prior to receiving this degree, Beyers worked for Thunderbird School of Global Management where he began in 2000 as an audiovisual technician. In 2005 he was promoted to the manager of media servers, where he managed a team of audiovisual, graphic and broadcast technicians. His various responsibilities included producing a weekly synchronous satellite course to 13 campuses throughout North, Central and South America, developing the schools venue learning technologies and designing presentation materials for the faculty and staff. While at Thunderbird, Beyers also designed small, medium and large learning venues, increased program revenues through technology streamlining and improved student-faculty communications through learning design methodologies. In 2010 Beyers was asked to develop a new academic technologies department for Thunderbird. This included leading a highly diverse team in the practice of instructional design, learning theory and technological development.
His academic studies also include a bachelor's degree in visual communications and an associate's degree in computer animation. In combination with these degrees, Beyers has more than 18 years of experience analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating instructional design.
