Congratulations to our 2010 Scholarship Recipients!
Ian Dunigan and Kathy Nobile
Ian Dunigan grew up in the city of Yorba Linda, located in the east part of Orange County, California. He is a senior at the University of San Diego, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Supply Chain Management, and will graduate in May 2010. At an early age, Ian learned about business management, and the importance of cost management specifically, when he painted houses for his brother, who worked as an intern for College Works Painting. Ian also worked as a server at Mimi’s Café for two years. During the summer of 2009, he was hired and worked full-time as a procurement intern for Northrop Grumman in Woodland Hills, California. Ian is a member of Delta Sigma Pi, a co-ed professional business fraternity. He has served as the Brotherhood Chair for Delta Sigma Pi, which focuses on organizing certain events and building team unity within the fraternity. Ian is extremely well organized and detail oriented, and enjoys almost all sports, playing poker, and public speaking.
Kathy Nobile is from Mission Viejo, California. She is a senior at the University of San Diego, majoring in Business Administration with dual minors in Supply Chain Management and International Business. She is expected to graduate a semester early in December 2009. Kathy is in her fourth year playing soccer for the USD Women’s Club team, which focuses on building leadership and team unity. During the summer of 2009, Kathy worked for Northrop Grumman as an IT Outsourcing Summer Intern. Before that she worked as a waitress at Ruby’s Diner for four years. Kathy is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and SCMA, the Supply Chain Management Association at USD.
Ian and Kathy will be collaborating with students from Arizona State University in a case competition to be held at the ISM Services Conference in Phoenix, Arizona on December 3-4, 2010. We wish them well in the competition!
The ISM Services Group interacts with five targeted universities that have Supply Management (Purchasing) undergraduate degree programs. The University of San Diego is one of those five.
