Vivek Sah, PhD, is an assistant professor at the University of San Diego, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate finance and investments. Sah’s primary research interests are in the areas of REITs, behavioral real estate and real estate mutual funds. His research has been published in leading real estate journals, such as the Journal of Property Research, the Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management and the Journal of Property Investment and Finance. He actively participates in conferences held by the American Real Estate Society and the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association. He has presented his papers at various real estate conferences in the United States, as well as internationally. In 2009, Sah’s dissertation won the Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research under the property category. Prior to his current position, Sah was involved in real estate consulting in India with ICICI Bank, where he worked on various real estate ventures across India and conducted real estate research on Indian property markets.
