The University of San Diego's School of Business Administration offers graduate business students the opportunity to attend courses at universities in several countries and earn graduate credits toward USD's MBA or IMBA program. Application Procedures:
1) Meet with USD's exchange coordinator to discuss possible exchange programs that will fit your academic and personal goals.
2) Download an Application and turn it in by the deadline outlined below:
- Fall semester: April 1
- Spring semester: October 1
- Summer semester: March 1
Students participating in semester exchange programs are eligible for scholarships. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please apply here by the application deadline indicated above.
3) Once your application is received, you will be nominated to the host institution by USD's exchange coordinator. You will be copied on this e-mail.
4) The host institution will contact you with further application instructions. After applying to the host institution, you should expect to receive an official acceptance letter.
5) USD students are solely responsible for obtaining an appropriate student visa for their time abroad. Be sure to check your host country's consulate for further instructions and visa requirements well in advance of your trip. Please note that all USD students traveling abroad for University purposes are covered under insurance. Click here for your insurance card. You will likely need this for your visa.
6) Before you depart, meet with USD's exchange coordinator to finalize your course schedule. After this meeting, you will be registered for the necessary amount of units in USD's system.
7) At the end of your term abroad, be sure to request that your host institution sends your transcripts to USD. Once your transcripts are received, your general USD units will be changed to the appropriate courses you took abroad. Your grades will also transfer.
