The School of Business Administration faculty includes professors distinguished for their research and contributions to the field of international business. Members of the Ahlers Center Faculty Advisory Board selected from the ranks of the SBA faculty share their expertise in setting the direction and promoting the activities of the Ahlers Center.

Conroy, Steve
Professor Conroy has received several teaching and research awards. He has taught internationally in Peru and Brazil. Among other courses in economics he teaches Latin American Economic Development and Microfinance and Wealth Creation.

Hunsaker, Johanna
Known for her innovative teaching techniques, Dr. Hunsaker has taught internationally in France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Saipan, Spain and Turkey. Professor Hunsaker has a strong interest in gender issues in the workplace, especially at the managerial level.

Ma, Alyson
Alyson Ma is well published on issues of trade and foreign investment with China. Her research interests broadly include topics in international trade, applied microeconomics, and industrial organization.

Marquez, Patricia
A former Dean of IESA, Cisneros Visiting Scholar at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies and Visiting Professor at Harvard Business School her teaching and research is in the area of corporate social responsibility; social enterprise; organizational behavior and leadership, and a strong focus on the role business can play in alleviating poverty worldwide.

Perlos, Johan
A native of Sweden he teaches Accounting Information Systems covering topics such as management fraud, enterprise risk management, business process modeling, and data analysis. He was the recipient of the accountancy professor of the year award in 2009. Prior to entering academics, Dr. Perols worked as a Data Quality and Integrity specialist in the Enterprise Risk Services department of Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Rahman, Manzur
Having studied and worked in Asia, Europe, and North America, Dr. Rahman brings a multicultural perspective to his seminar discussions. He has expertise in multinational financial policy, corporate finance, and foreign direct investments. In addition to his Ph.D. in finance, Dr. Rahman also has a law degree.

Tu, Charles
Dr. Tu is the Daniel F. Mulvihill Professor of Commercial Real Estate.  His research covers a wide variety of topics, including smart growth, sustainability, and Asian real estate markets.  In addition to top journals in the U.S., Dr. Tu also published in Europe and Asia.  He has recently been invited to present his research in China, Singapore, and Taiwan.
