Career Counseling:

The Burnham-Moores Center's faculty and staff doors are always open for students to ask questions, seek advice and assistance. Our team of professionals educate students on career opportunities within real estate, review professional documents such as cover letters and resumes, discuss job search strategies and guide you to industry leaders who will welcome the opportunity to share their insights with you as well. The Center offers a popular mentorship program to our graduate and undergraduate students, as well as a host of other career services to help students prepare to enter the real estate industry. Our popular Real Estate Career Expo is a speed-networking format, matching employers and job candidates.

Career Opportunities:

Employers frequently seek out our real estate students and alumni for employment and internships because of their reputation for being knowledgeable, hard-working and highly ethical individuals. The Burnham-Moores Center's staff helps students succeed by preparing them for internships and full-time job opportunities by reviewing resumes, discussing real estate career opportunities and providing interview tips prior to the application process.

Internships and Full-Time Employment:

Internships provide authentic work experience and help students assess their interest in various real estate related fields. Internships frequently lead to full-time job opportunities after graduation and provide valuable professional references. Hours worked during the school year should be flexible and generally between 10 to 20 hours per week. Compensation is negotiable and should be commensurate within the stated job description.

Employers seeking to hire USD students for an internship or on a full-time basis can post career opportunities on the USD job database, TorreroLink, or contact John Ferber or Joe Bertocchini.
