Selecting Courses

Courses should be discussed with your home university Exchange Advisor before making your selection. Please be aware that some courses carry a prerequisite, which means that one course must be completed before taking another. View the graduate business course descriptions and prerequisites. It is important to note that not all courses will be available each semester, so you must check the course schedule below.

To search for courses offered during a specific academic term, view the course schedule.

You will need to indicate the semester that you would like to search (Fall, Spring, Summer). Then choose "Graduate Business Administration" courses (GSBA 5--) from the subject code menu. Certain courses are intended only for USD MBA cohorts, and exchange students are not allowed to enroll in such classes. As a general rule, you should select courses in the evening and on the weekends, and never select GSBA 500, 501 or GSBA 510. You will be contacted if any courses you choose do not follow the guidelines set forth by the MBA office.

The academic calendar can be found at: Academic Calendar.

Final Course Selection

Once your application and all the necessary information are received, you will receive an email indicating whether or not your preferred course selection has been approved. After making any changes, when the final course selection is in place, you will be registered for those classes through the Ahlers Center for International Business department.

NOTE: If changes need to be made to your class schedule, you will have 10 days after the first day of classes to make changes.
