Faculty Changemaker Exchange Lunch
This event occurred in the past
Date and Time
Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Increasingly, faculty all over the world are integrating components of social/environmental changemaking into their courses. The innovations occur across all disciplines and in various ways, as students are asked to prepare and participate in classroom experiences such as projects, field visits, community service learning, experiential exercises, lectures, and film analysis. Inside and outside the classroom, students are invited to analyze and understand system transformations and the many ways in which any individual can be an active participant in creating positive change. The purpose of this faculty exchange is to learn about teaching innovations in this area: How are course dynamics implemented? In what ways are students evaluated? How is impact assessed? We invite you to join USD professors, distinguished by their course innovations in changemaking, in a discussion of their pedagogical insights and recommendations.
